Hi all,
I was wondering what everybodys favorite chords were and also if you have a favorite fingerpicking solo on your uke.

P.S.
Recently my thumb has been hurting while i have been playing, is that due to a fault in my holding of the Ukulele or normal. Any good advice welcome.

I only play finger picking solos, so it is hard to pick a favorite. Favorite chord is an interesting question. On guitar it was the D chord, and I do love that variations that can be played on the 0232 G chord on the reentrant uke. But the C in all it many permutations is so damn important--so maybe that is my fave. As for the thumb, play around with different arm, hand, and wrist positions.....and also relax in terms of the amount of tension that you are using.

Intro, Solo, Outro of Island Woman. That's my favorite fingerpicking.

Also as for your thumbs, what strings are you using? I've heard many things about fingers gettin messed cuz of strings.

I love open chords. My favorite chord might be this B7:

I would say this is my least favorite chord, in any position

Although I do love this Dim form. It's great for doing a dun...dun...dun effect while watching TV. Try it going down 3 half steps chromatically.
