Hey UU members in NYC. I've seen this announced in various places but not here yet. There's a giant ukulele jam being organized in the city this Sunday at noon.

From the organizer's posting on Cosmos:

Aloha Uke Friends! The Make Music New York Ukulele Mass Appeal is coming: Sunday, June 21 from noon to 3 PM in Tucker Square, 66th & Broadway in Manhattan.

This is a free and open outdoor uke jam for players of all levels. There's something for everyone -- Elvis, Beatles, Hawaiian, Folk, Country, Oldies and Classic Rock. Guest conductors include Uncle Zac, Mark Michaels, Jelvis (The Jewish Elvis), Roger & Dave from the Bealtes Complete on Uke Blog and our friends from Rick's Uke Salon.

Over 20 people have signed up on the Yahoo! meetup board, and I know of at least another 20 coming. Imagine 40, 50 or even 60 ukes all jamming away in the shadow of Lincoln Center. This is going to be a lot of fun!

Get the songbook here (50 pages/3 MB):
