I picked this up last weekend @ a estate auction. Broken tuners, unglued bridge, unglued nut, and 1 small crack at just below the bridge. I was able to clamp and glue the crack, supporting it with a 1/32 thick strip of Koa. The crack totally disappeared. I re-glued the bridge and nut, buffed up the body, and put on new tuners and worth cm strings.
Uke = $25
tuners = $24
strings = $6

Not bad for $60 total!

The uke is beautiful, with a curly neck, headstock and back(not shown), plus it sounds fantastic, I will ad a sound clip soon.

Yes, I do know the value. I think it will be a regular player in my growing uke tribe, for now.
I was amazed that no one had an interest at the auction, a harmony uke went for $34. I guess the minor damage scares some people. Ha,ha, better for me!:smileybounce:

Good on ya! I love it when something like that falls into the hands of one who will love and appreciate it!

ill give u 3 times as much as you purchased it for

Og my god, I've been wanting an older Kamaka, but I can only find ones with big cracks on ebay, and they cost more then what you go your for!:(

Great find.. And if you ever want to sell it......
