Woodstock Ukulele Contest

So, this is my 500th post here on this amazing site!!
In hounor of that I would like to host a little challange "thingie". Since I am a student and sadly can't afford any prizes :( besides giving the pride of winning.
But I got an idea that I realy like so I want to hold this challange anyway.

The contest have been sponsored!! by the generous SomkeyStubbs so the winner will now recive CD's with great music from the era the contest is about!
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - So Far
Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland
Joni Mitchell - Ladies of the Canyon

Thanks alot Smokey!

It's the Woodstock 69 Ukulele challange! :)
Since this is one of my favoritte earas of music!
Youtube video will be up later or tomorrow, post a link to the video in this thread and I will make a playlist on YT.

Contest Video:
Post your entries as a video response here

Rules:
1. You must play a Ukulele in the video

2. It must be a song made by a artist that preformed at Woodstock 1969. The song can have been made before or after as long as the artist played at Woodstock. Also if the artist played in a band at woodstock but later went into a solo career you may use songs from the solo career aswell.
As long as the artist preformed at Woodstock it doeasn't matter when they wrote the song.

3. At the beginning of the video say something like "This is for Bratset(or Zwoko's) Woodstock 69 Uke challange" etc

I will be the only judge, and I hope that you will all have fun with this challange!

Deadline is September 26th, and a maximum of 3 entries per person

P.S: Not realy 500th post longer either :p

Uke on!

Congrats on your little contest. Hope you get a lot of entries.

cool contest man! if i can put something together then i just might subject your ears to a battering ;)

I Ride an Old Paint

I know this is not the wild music that may be thought goes with Woodstock, but folk music was big with those hippies too. Arlo Guthrie performed there and this is a song he performs occasionally. It is a traditional american song.
I play uke, banjo uke, harmonica and do the vocals. It is a two chorder and I use D and A so play along.

Excellent idea. There are so many great tunes to choose from. Count me in.
Who needs more than kudos for a prize, just an excuse for uu members to make some vids, that's enough. But to make it a bit more interesting I will offer my Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young & Jimi Hendix CDs as a prize if you want.:D

i think stubbs should throw in one of his banjolele's as a prize ;) lolol jk jk hahahah

LOL :D
I'd love to, but one is my sisters and the other was a gift that I haven't even restrung & played yet, so no, that's not going to happen.
But I will add a Joni Mitchell CD that has the song Woodstock on it.
Oh dear, I really shouldn't post whilst drunk
But I've said it now, so that's what's on the table.
