ok so instead of digging up my old thread about my kayak trip, Ive decided to just make a new one.

Ill have the time to probably jam out anywhere from 4-6 songs while floating in the atlantic. heres the prereqs:

1.gotta fit on one page with chords and lyrics,
2.gotta be somewhat easy
3.gotta be chord only songs.

One of the songs is going to be White Sandy Beach, so any other suggestions would be helpful.

1. White Sandy Beach
2.
3.
4.
*5.
*6.

suggest away

thanks for the help!

In the dead easy department:
Fisherman's Blues (The Waterboys)
F*ck Her Gently (Tenacious D) <-- No water theme, but good for a laugh

In the can be a little tricky department:
Somewhere Beyond The Sea
Water Runs Dry
I'm on a boat <-- seriously, if you manage to uke-a-lise this and get a vid of you singing it while in your kayak, I'll buy you... something. Something not too expensive!

Island in the Sun. The UU lesson. The main riff is just so much fun to play! :shaka:

i google-ed and "boat" is the closest to kayak i
can find for songs.

1. row, row, row your boat
2. slow boat to china (or probably england over the atlantic)
3. puff the magic dragon
4. my bonnie

have fun!

on a slow boat to china

although that could be a wrong song title if, you know, you actually want to get somewhere

lol it doesn't have to be water related at all actually, im just looking for some easy relaxable songs to play :p

hallelujah by leonard cohen
somewhere over the rainbow
raindrops keep fallin on my head

There's a few... for some reason I'm drawing blanks on just chord songs..

Not sure how it would sound on uke, but Cool Change by Little River Band might be interesting...definitely fits the occasion!

Gotta suggest This Message by Krabbers, a fellow UUer....

I second the vote for Rainbow Connection by Kermit T Frog.

Also: Lime in the Coconut (don't know who wrote it, but Bob covered it).
Loving You by Adam Sandler
E Ku'u Morning Dew (tranditonal)
...and um Dare to Be Stupid by Weird "Al" Yankovich (or the Biggest
Ball of Twine in Minnesota depending on time restraints).

id go with this if I could find a good one page with lyrics and chords. everyone I find is either way off, or something

Where can I get the tab for this one?
