For all that wanna listen to Hawaiian music, here's a concert schedule (http://www.mele.com/resources/events.html) (current date through August) and maybe just one happening near you.

it used to be the "last day saloon" and just changed ownership a few years ago. it's right across the street from my favorite pub "the bitter end" on clement at 6th.

It's off of A Street I believe. There was a thread in Uke Talk about it and there was a link for more information. I have to pass by to check it out if I'm not busy.

so who's going to the Hayward one? I want to meet up with people so I'm not a lameo loner haha and Is it BART accessible? I kinda dont want to drive. T.T;;

If you take Bart, you can either get off at the Bayfair stop or the Hayward stop. (not South Hayward) and from there on you can try to catch the 92 bus since it'll be going down Hesperian Blvd (cross street of A. st). I haven't been to that side of town in a while so I forget but MapQuest is always great.

Driving can be beneficial as well since it's on a Sunday. Traffic aint all bad. The Festival is from 10:30 - 5:00.

Here's more info if anyone's going. Princeton is near A St. for those who aren't familiar.

May Day was pretty cool! lotta good food, vendors galorrrrrrrr!, enough hula to drive u loco, aaaaannnddd maraming maraming bebots!!!

lotta uke players too! wish i woulda brought mine cuz this guy i was chillin wid had a bunch of nephews that played. oh well.

one performance was pretty awesome that the crowd begged for an encore, solely for the uke'ist. he was da kupuna of de group, an he jus shredded it up for a good 5 mins! he had the crowd goin nuts!

overall, it was a nice celebration. it was an early motha's day present for de moms, and a way betta way to spend the day than doin hw...

first post is edited, so check it out! ehem - 3+ woot!
