i'm actually looking for one ukulele, but it can be either a soprano or pineapple.

i'm looking for a pineapple/soprano
-all mahogany
-top notch sound
-aquila strings
-nothing cheap like mahala or budget lanikai models
-just a great uke overall!

thanks guys!

What budget?

woah, cool! i think i'll skip on the case if i were to actually buy it, but i've never heard of mele. call me a noob to ukes, but this is the first i've heard of it mele.

are they a hawaiian rooted manufacturer?

$189.50 at mainlandukes.com. Plenty of cash left over for a case and a pickup!

I got a Mainland uke a couple of months ago and I couldn't be happier with it. Mine is a concert, but I'm sure the other models are just as good. They get a lot of love here on UU.

Mele ukulele is in Maui. The solid Mahogany Pineapple sells for $229, Their ukes are partially built in the Philippines and final set up and adjustments are done in Maui. They use solid woods, and use one of the thinnest necks on the market. Overall, great sound, good quality and very popular in Hawaii. I also own 3 Mele's and love them.
