I was looking to add a little spice to my uke and i dont wanna use regular stickers, because if i ever feel the need to take them off they'll leave all that sticky stuff behind, and chances are they won't come off evenly which will lead to a very messy ugly mess =( anyone know of any different kinds of stickers i could use, or ways i could avoid getting all that sticky mess after removing a regular sticker? Here's my uke now, before it's makeover!

For some reason everytime i try to put the direct links into image codes it makes the pictures HUGE so i dont wanna do that, i'll just link the pics.

Have you considered decals? They go on just with water and can probably be removed with much less mess than stickers.

yeah i considered them, would they have like special one guitars and ukuleles and stuff at local music shops? cause i dont wanna go to the dollar store and get little horses and stuff, haha.

Consider static stickers?

There's a foil-wrapped handcleaner that hospitals use to remove residue from bandages. My guess is you could get them at a pharmacy. Sorry that I don't have a name - I used all of mine. They do seem to have a chemical that may or may not be good for your wood. I would test before using; but it would certainly remove a sticker.

I have used plain old WD-40 on a paper towel to remove adhesive residue off many things, nevr had a problem (so far) with if reacting to any finishes. ;)

i contacted them; they do custom design too.
i plan to pimp mine with the lizard on the fret
and the kokopelli on the headstock.

Hey, thanks for the link! These look really great, and they are meant to go on musical instruments! I think I will try some out!

Thanks everyone! i think i'm gunna go with some static stickers, i dont wanna risk messing up the finish with an abrasive cleaner.

I used water slide decals to decorate my Fluke with an agave motif (see here for pics). Relatively easy to create and place. However, they are WET and you have to be careful to get all the water up as quickly as possible. Make sure you use the LASER version and have them printed on a laser or colour copier if you want them to last. The inkjet variety will run and smudge unless sprayed with a fixative.

You're the one! I knew I saw that somewhere. That's why I suggested what I did.

i had my cousin design my uke with paint

its pretty nice

so i suggest drawing on it
but make sure u can draw first
