As someone who continues to have problems with fingering on soprano size ukes, I wonder if there are significant differences among soprano ukes that might make fingerstyle (a la Ritz, or Ohta-san) easier?
For example, are there differences in the neck width that might allow for easier fingering for longer/bigger fingers? My Kiwaya KS-5 is a neat little uke, but even after many months of practice I find it hard to do clean picking, even at slower tempos. Perhaps the neck is narrower than some? (I don't know for sure since I haven't played a wide range of sopranos)
Anyway, can other soprano players make comparisons?
