It may just be your uke. It is a G note, the same not as a re-entrant tuned uke.

I love my Eb. Do you have multiple ukes? Does it sound "dull" on all of them?

yep, sounds dull to me. The tuner says its dead on... but it just sounds... dull. Maybe I just don't like the note. It just sounds... uhh, depressing to me.
