last night I was tinkering on the Uke in the front yard while the kids and the dog played (and while we waited for Wipeout to start :D ) and I came up with the following tune:

|2-2-2---3-3-320-0-0-0---3--2--| repeat
|3-----3-0-------2-----2-0--3--|
|2-------0-------2-------0--2--|
|0-------0-------2-------0--0--|

The problem though is that I really would prefer to use something other than the G chord as the last chord but I couldn't find anything that sounded right and would flow back into the G when I repeat the tune. Can anyone suggest a chord that would sound good after the C and lead back into the G at the beginning? Thanks in advance!

The two most obvious choices are the supertonic and dominant chords.

Try an Am or D.

Try an Am or D.I tried those previously in their upper chord positions and I feel like they sound too deep (in the case of D) and too deep and sad (in the case of Am)... I've tried the following to no avail:

B, Bb, Gsus, A, F, F#, D7, E, E7, Fm and G7 (which sounds the best of all I've tried so far). I'm hoping there's some crazy chord out there that I don't normally use but that would sound great... it's driving me bonkers though :)

Try B minor.

I find the supertonic goes best with supergin. And maybe a slice of superlime.

Try B minor.Works for me! Thanks Seeso!
Now I think I need to add a couple more notes in between the Bm and the repeat (to help with the transition back to G).

Back to work :)

Superlime == Great name for a band
