quick question about tuning

allright, well i want to set my ukulele half step down to play gabe bondoc's i just want you
i was wondering if it was the same as tuning your guitar half step down?
yenno place a capo on 1 and tune it back to normal?

The principle is the same. A half step/semi-tone is still a half step/semi-tone on any instrument. In practical terms, if you tune down a half-step then, as you say, a capo on first fret will put you back playing in the key you were in before you tuned down.

'Zactly the same as on your guitar.
