Has anybody strung up their Mainland ukulele with a set of Fremont Black Line Fluorocarbon strings? I picked up a set of both Medium and Hard and was wondering which ones to go with first. I liked the Aquilas that were originally on there but just wanted to try something new.

Would like to hear your experiences with this combination. Thanks.

I haven't tried those strings but if your interested tomorrow I'm going to string mine with some Worths Fluorocarbon strings and I will do a video and post it.

I'd try the mediums first...or flip a quarter! I don't know if these will sound better to you than Aquila's but I know they sound better than say GHS strings on my Oscar soprano. I like that they don't stretch as much as Aquila's, to me the mediums play similar to Nylguts but aren't so rough on the fingers...feel more like Ko'olau golds or Worths. Finger feel is the only problem I've ever had with Aquila's, and that is subjective.
