I saw some ukulele videos a while back on youtube of people covering rap songs
like T-Pain - Buy You A Drink and Drake - Best I Ever Had
and since I mostly listen to rap I thought itd be cool to learn how to play them myself
Ive never played an instrument and am a complete beginner
can anyone recommend a good DVD that covers the basics such as reading music, strumming, etc
I got a book when I bought my ukulele but I think Id be better with some visuals

thanks in advance

if you're happy to keep on with youtube, this channel is a good start:

And go from there (search these forums for 'youtube' and 'beginner' for some very useful information)

Ralph Shaw has some good beginner DVD lessons. Check him out online - I think MGM sells them, too.

Jumpin' Jim's Joy of Uke is a good beginner's DVD, I rented it thru Blockbuster Online.
