I've been looking for info from users on these models. I think i'd really like to buy one but not sure without finding a single thread or review on them. Any info out there? Thanks in advance for your help!!

I'm looking at the TRC-XXXE Tenor Deluxe HONU w/ KEIYO brand pickup model. Runs about $850 with hardcase.

Thanks!

I wrote some impressions of the concert model a couple of years ago on my blog (http://gx9901ukes.blogspot.com/2007/10/revisiting-honu.html).

I just sold it last week because I haven't played it much (I have a few customs that gets all the playing time), but it is a great uke with outstanding workmanship and great sound.

I have had one for almost a year. It is a real fine tenor uke.

Personally, I wouldn't pay that much for an uke made in Vietnam or from other South East Asian country.

I've got a BI Koa concert - it's a fine uke.

Like nongdam the price did concern me but this is more than just another far eastern uke. In fact it's one of the best made ukes I own and IMHO stands up to my k brands in many ways.
