Hey UUers! Finally had the time to create a thread for this episode of Uke Minutes -

Uke Minutes 55 - Augmented Chords (http://ukuleleunderground.com/2009/07/25/uke-minutes-55-augmented-chords/) !

Augmented chords are used like seasoning to sprinkle some flavor into your songs. They are frequently used in jazz music, and sparingly in pop.

Some famous examples of augmented chords in songs include: "Drown In My Own Tears" by Ray Charles, "Mama Mia" by ABBA, and "I Found a Way" by Drake Bell (theme song for the Nickelodeon hit show "Draka & Josh").

Got questions, thoughts, ideas, examples of songs, cheat codes involving augmented chords? Post them below!

I've been playing around with this. It's a terrific sound, easy to figure out, too. Love it. Many thanks.
