So what's the point of all these embellishments?
OK, I hear the differences between eighth note strumming, triple strokes, and the split stroke, but the fan and the roll (if there is any difference between these two) are just flashier versions (visually) of the common or garden normal triple.
Please correct me if I am wrong (and I quite often am).
