Hi so I just sold off a couple ukes lately and I have a bit of extra $$ lying around for a low end uke. I've got a tenor kala solid lacewood w/spructeop and a tenor eleuke, I'm looking for something smaller (on the aforementioned I use low G, so I'm thinking for something reentrant)

I've got it narrowed down to:
Ohana PK-25G $145 (solid mahog)

Kala Soprano Longneck $199(solid mahog)

Ohana Longneck $125 (solid mahog)

or both
Kala Soprano longneck laminate, $60+
and pineapple laminate (Kala or Lanikai LU-21P) $60+

Theres a guy that bought a kala namm booth so hes got quite a few im sure i could snag one.

This would be more for fun and to have something re-entrant than probably a primary player (but I may get into high G, so who knows) What would you suggest I do? What would you do?

That's a very good price on the Ohana longneck... even without the free shipping! My vote is for that or the Kala longneck.

edit: Case for the Longneck Ohana = regular concert sized case with a baby blanket.

this would be at the absolute highest end of my consideration, but:

I really like that also. I just dont know if its signifigantly better than the ohana pineapple, as this is just a "for fun" instrument, and my wife insists I have a pineapple (what, a wife encouraging UAS? Believe it) she feels bad because I sold off 2 of my ukes already :(

Another good choice are the Mainland solid cedar tops. They got voice! He has some mango soprano pineapples coming out around Sept. of course if you want to spend a wee bit more $ Pono figured mango soprano pineapples are way pretty. Ohana's pineapple is very nice though.

I know, I was considering mainland because A) I like geared tuners better, and B) no setup concerns but I just hate hate hate that rope binding and can't get over it. I actually was thinking the honeybee soprano from mainland as its got normal looking binding/purfing. If the mainland mango is solid, and has a normal binding like the honeybee instead of rope, I'll wait for it.

I just got my Kala solid long neck soprano from MGM and it is awesome. I tend to go for the warmer tone and it has it. it has aquilas on it, but later I may try some worth bm's. it will be even warmer. I would say its a great buy and it fits in a soprano case like a glove.( i thought it wouldnt....)but you cant go wrong with this uke!!

I really want WhenDogsSings' Bushman Jenny Pineapple.... I like the binding and inlay, and geared tuners, which the PK-25G doesn't have... They should be fundamentally the same uke, a solid mahogany from the same factory, so is it worth it to go with a used Bushman w/no warranty vs. A new ohana uke?
