Welcome to UU!

There is already a thread running discussing instructional DVDs here: http://ukuleleunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17261

But I will reiterate some of the highlights...there are some wonderful resources on YouTube that will accomplish what you are seeking (and won't cost you anything but time and bandwidth). MusicTeacher2009 (http://www.youtube.com/user/MusicTeacher2009) comes highly recommended. His stuff is very clear and understandable (probably because he is a music teacher).

Good luck in your journey! And more importantly...have fun with it!
