typically 19 inch is for baritone, but if I am not mistaken, you can tune a baritone GCEA.
T
he danger being in stressing the structure of the uke, as in it might rip the bridge out, right??

The tenor strings will stretch and tune proper right?

Did it

I have a Hilo Baritone with tenor strings on it and standard tuneing.
It works the strings are barely long enough. Been like that for 6 months no neck bowing and the bridge is still on! It is 19 1/2 scale length.

yeah, finished it last week or so...I still would like sound holes, but I got a bad chuck on my drill so I dont wanna jack it up just yet. You can amplify it and it sounds good. I prefer the Aquila strings to Pro Arte....but you never know until you try.

Its not my favorite, but I just made this for a personal beater. The box is scratched from the shop cutting the plastic with a razor. I do like the eye hooks...first time I tried that.
