For sale is a New Makapili Concert Pineapple ukulele.

This ukulele was made completely by hand in Italy.

The woods are all from reclaimed or sustainable sources,

Solid Acacia Confusa: Top, back, sides, fretboard, bridge, headstock veneer

Spanish Cedar (cedera odorata): neck (built in the spanish style)

Gotoh SGM sealed geared tuners

Currently strung with Aquila strings

Hand rubbed oil finish

Side sound port (added after these pictures were taken, I will try to post a picture of the side sound port later)

This instrument sounds great.

I will try to put up a sound sample later.

Asking Price: 500 Euros includes shipping within Europe (reasonable offers will be considered) does not include a case.

Here is a sound sample of this ukulele. It is recorded with a headphone/microphone combo. Sorry for the quality, and I am even more sorry for my quality of playing. I feel embarrassed everytime I record myself. I should spend more time playing and less building. But Im not sure if that will ever happen.

Take care,

This Ukulele now includes a case. It will try to put up a picture of the case tomorrow. For lack of a better term I will call it a semi hard case.

I will also take 450 Euros.

So, for 450 Euros it includes a case and shipping with in Europe.

Take care,
Thomas

That is such a good deal. If I hadn't just spent out on a Kamaka, I'd be sorely tempted. My guess is that in a couple of years people will be boasting about how they bought one of your early ukes for so little. It looks and sounds beautiful and the detail - such as the fret markers - is stunning.

Thanks for the nice words Red.

Here are the pictures of the case and Side Sound Port that I said I would post. This time I used a flash and the curl in the wood shows up really well.

Take care,
Thomas

Any offers from the crew here??

I guess it may go to ebay next week sometime.

I really dont want to deal with ebay, I would be much happier to sell it here for a little less.

Take care,
THomas

What about 350?

I REALLY need some cash.

Now is your chanse to "steal" an instrument from me.

I do not want to deal with ebay.

Take care,
Thomas

I tried for hours to figure out the ebay thing and had a real hard time, still havent figured it out. I live in Italy, am American and half my stuff is here and half is there, and it is a mess.

Anyway cant do ebay for now.

By the way, All of the ukuleles I sell will have a two day return time. If you arent happy within two days, send it back I will return your money. Minus shipping.

Lets try 333 Euros

Congrats

Congratulations to Clifford. :biglaugh: I MIGHT HAVE KNOWN...

I can see the Kent UK Makapili Club starting soon :D
I'll post some pics of the two ukes reunited the next time I see him.

Thanks for letting Clifford play yours Anna. He told me he played yours and didnt want to give it back, and had to have one. The Kent Makapili club has begun, or will begin when it arrives next week.

Take care,
Thomas
