Are D'addario J65 ok for a vintage Kamaka

I have them on and tuned to standard tuning. They sound ok. I had them tuned to BF#DA ( or what ever it was) and it sounded ok as well. Not like the Worths I had on earlier.


Anyways will these strings hurt the uke? ( I suspect the uke is from the late 70's early eighties. no cracks no belly dip )

I personally never used them but nylon strings have been around longer than that uke has so I think it's safe to say it'll be ok with them on.
 
You should be able to use whatever you want on that uke. The uke was probably built with "D" tuning in mind, but if you tune up, make sure you're using a uke set made for that tuning. The gauges should be slightly thinner than a "C" set.
