Capo for tenor uke

Hi

I'm thinking of buying a capo. do i need a special kind or can you use the same one as for a guitar?

I've got a steel string guitar so can anyone recommend a capo that would work on both the tenor uke and the folk guitar?

I use the G7th performance capo, i had it originally for my guitar but it is equally effective with the ukulele.

I use various capos on my steel string guitars... the Kyser "trigger" types being the most useful for me.


On my tenor uke though, I prefer a simple "bungie" style banjo capo. The tension is light (so as not to damage the neck and soft nylon strings) and the banjo neck size is just about the perfect width...

A banjo or mandolin capo works well with tenors. And those are or should be available at most music stores. Bring your uke with you and try them out. Ditto on the Kyser, tad more and worth it.
