Hello All--

I'm playing some ukulele again after a bunch of years playing guitar. I picked up a Kala SMHT a couple months back, and am having a great time re-learning ukulele(actually, I'm probably far ahead of where I left off already, with my guitar time)

Anyway, what should I expect as a general idea of the how long Uke strings will last? I realize there are many factors here, but is there a starting point? My Kala came straight from them with Aquilas on-board.

Thanks for your thoughts....

it all depends on how much you play it. it suggest every 6 months to a year.

Some people never change strings untill one breaks, others will notice the changing sound of a worn out string.
I think it's up to the individual, I change mine about every 2 to 3 months depending on how much they have been played.
In the end it's up to you, there are pointers that will indicate the strings are wearing, such as fraying and dullness of sound.
Hope this helps, just keep on rocking.
