Just a little blurby bit on somebody's blog, but a mention is a mention and it's nice. The funny thing is that we don't currently play any Bowie.

"...Also, quite the experience to have a Ukulele Orchestra serenade at the Triple Rock. It was like a choir of children with recorders, where all members play the same melody line, but substitute the children with grade school science teachers and the recorders with ukuleles and the melody can be something written by David Bowie. It was fabulous..."

Somebody else had a few pictures.

We all look grim. But it really was a blast.

Everybody must have started arriving as we played because it was packed by the end of our 25 minutes. This must have been right at the start.

Still grim looking, but really having loads of fun.

All I can say is that the only sciency person in the Orchestra is a Nurse Anesthesist -- heck I can't spell it. I can't even say it.

Sukie - is that you sitting on the end of the row?

Very cool! How old is that Koaloha? Looks like it's got some kick-ass mojo.

That's the April 2000 one. It does has plenty mojo and it's my special favorite. It's opened way up over time. I love love love it.
