Hello All,
I thought this might be the most appropriate place to post a couple of questions I have about tuners. I recently got a great Richter soprano uke from the late 30's/early 40's. I have found out these were constructed by Regal. The tuners are pretty standard friction black plastic button tuners. However, all four buttons are cracked.
The holes in my headstock are pretty small, and the shaft of the original tuners is too small to fit any buttons/tuners I have on my other ukes. Does anyone know if there are tuners that fit without making the holes bigger? I have looked online and Grover makes all kinds of tuners but I don't understand the different numbers associated with the different ones they offer, so if I were to buy new, bigger tuners, I wouldn't know which ones to choose.
