Hey I've started to look for a new uke and I leanin towards gettin a bari. Right now i'm thinkin about the Kala koa one. Does anyone know if thats a good choice, or any other suggestions for a good baritone uke under $400?

Thanks,
Doodles

Don't forget the Ohana BK-35, fantastic uke for the money.
Ditto. I bought one for my girlfriend and I was very impressed. Although I've got nothing bad to say about Kala - It's my daily driver.

Favilla

It's hard to beat the original, the Favilla baritone. Favilla has been out of business since the '70s, but there are quite a few that pop up on ebay. They are the best value on a baritone you are going to find. Fantastic sound, rich, resonant, warm, and excellent intonation. It is a quality instrument throughout. The Guitar Buyer's Guide says that Favilla gives you the sound quality of a Martin or Gibson at a fraction of the cost.

I'm not selling them, so you can see I don't have a stake - but in a baritone I think Favilla is the best you can get.
