We once had a cat that we adopted when he was 1-1/2 yrs old. He would plop himself down in front of my music stand while I played guitar and do what I called the "Buddah sit" on his haunches. Sometimes he would even close his eyes and sway with the music. He was my biggest fan.

At one point I mentioned this to the previous owner, who told me J was a big fan of classical music and would do that whenever he played the piano.

We lost J to kidney disease a few years ago and then inherited my father-in-law's cat after he died. She hated my playing and would run from the room whenever I got my guitar out. She's gotten better at tolerating it, but all I have to do is point the guitar at her and hit a loud rasguedo and she'll high tail it out. At least she doesn't hide under the bathtub anymore when I play.
