I got inspiration for a new original when I was chatting to one of my best friends today. She started a new school this years and we're struggeling quite a bit to keep in touch since we live kinda far a part to (the school I go to is kinda in the middle :p).
But anyways talking to her inspired me to start writing a song about loosing contact etc. It is far from finished yet so I'd LOVE feedback and input. I especially need help on a way to end the song better, and suggestion for chord progressions. Realy wanna make this a Uke songs since all my previous originals have been for guitar.

Lyrics so far:
Verse 1:
It feels like such a long time ago
Since I sat there on the front row
it is all so surreal now
the thing we promised not to allow

Chours:
We said we'd always stay in touch
on that we didn't disagree
but we don't talk much
C'est la vie

Verse 2:
it hasn't been that long
It's so wrong
It already feels like many many years
at leats so it apears
So I write this song

Chours:
a song of how we drifted a-part
Just know that you will always be
right here in my heart
C'est la ive

Verse 3:
But even while time flies
it's no longer filled with goobies
cause our friendship were
the kind that never ends
which truly is the one I prefer

Do you have music for this yet? I'd like to hear it. :)
