low g

just got a lanikai smc spalted mango CONCERT and wa wondering weather you can put a low g string on that sized uke and if so what should I ask for in a shop?

Yes you can ... here are Worth soprano / concert strings with low G.

I think it's more common on a tenor because of its range.

fwiw, I have low-g strings on most of my sopranos. Love the sound.

Meredith - Just wondering - How do you like your Lanikai? I bought the same instrument from Guitar Center a few months ago but needed to return it because of a bad buzzing problem. The spalted mango was beautiful, but I couldn't live with the buzzing and all other replacements had other minor defects.

How does yours sound? I really wanted to keep it, but was disappointed with the buzzing.
