Anyone ever heard of this brand and is it any good? Could not find out any info on it.

Did a little research on it and found it is made by Washburn which is made by Oscar Schmidt. What threw me off was the lable inside saying "George Washburn Lyon".

George Washburn Lyon is the full name of the man who founded Washburn.

Washburn used to (and maybe still does) make a line of instruments called "Lyon," which was sort of their equivalent of Fender's Squier or Ovation's Applause.

Lyon & Healy were partnered and made some very famous and beautiful ukes. The vintage Bell was one of them. Those ukes are worth a bundle these days.

Found a used one

I found a used one that has an oval sticker inside that says George Washburn Ryan. I didn't know if it was one of the older ones or not. I thought maybe they changed the name on the lable in the later years.

Here's a Pic of label

Here's a picture of the label on the inside of the soprano uke..

Ryan & Lyon pronounced the same if you're Japanese. ;)
