There's a bit of a thread here: http://www.ukuleleunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11534 that I started when I found a soprano (solid top mahogany) for £48. I really liked it and it seemed very good quality.

I have a Blue Moon baritone with a spruce top and it is OK but I don't really lie it that much - it has a very "tinny" quality and the neck is a little uncomfortable on the left hand. I have a bit of a downer on baritones anyway so it may just be that.

I also tried a Blue Moon Spruce topped soprano that was truly horrible:

Just as an afterthought, I also tried their pear-shaped "F" hole model in Sapele wood and it was a lovely rich-shounding instrument with a nice feel to the neck and was playable all the way up the neck but I didn't like the shape and found it difficult to hold.
