might be useful for koaloha owners

Huh...well I'll be durned! Do other brands of tuners use that trick? Learn somethin' new on these forums every day!
:anyone:

yeh i was thinking the same, do others have this, might be worth taking one apart to see

o_O That is pretty interesting. I had read something about cotton in the tuners, but had no idea you had to dig that far to find it...nor did I know that friction tuners had that many parts. Thanks for the link!

This problem (and the mentioned workaround) has been significant with the old schaller-tuners Koaloha used in the past. I had to try this cotton-trick myself ´cause my 2007 Koaloha has been developing an annoying buzz. It was easy to execute and worked instantly. With the tuners Koaloha uses nowadays there should be no need for this anymore.
