When I bought this ukulele new I was able to select it amongst 4 others. This one stood out the most because of the high contrast in the wood grain and the stripes really won me over. I modified the nut and saddle from rosewood to bone, and the strings are Aquila's that are about a week old. I just finished dressing the fret board today before I took the photos.

You can't really tell in the photo but the marble texture in the neck is absolutely stunning.

$150 plus shipping and you too can bask in the glory of the legendary Koa Pili Koko!

Just thought I'd chime in to say the bone saddle and nut makes a good difference. I did it on mine.
