Alright, I give up up. I've searched this and other forums. I've noodled around on the web. And I still can't find pre-fab banjolele heads. I know this must be an old topic and the answer is out there somewhere, but right now it is escaping me.

Here is what I am looking for: a synthetic (not skin) head for my Dixie banjolele, diameter is approximately 7". In particular I am looking for a clear one. I swear, although I cannot remember where, I have seen a clear head on a Dixie at some point in time.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

gracias,
Gio

Drum heads are commonly used on banjos. I restored a mando-banjo a few years ago. Well, I took it apart, cleaned all the pieces, took it into a shop to have the new head put on and they used a Remo synthetic drum head. It's punchy and loud!

I imagine there's a tom-tom size that would fit well.
