Er...Tampa!
Hello, just thought I'd ask for thoughts on string change suggestions for a standard flea concert. The stock black Hilos are on there now, and I am quite happy with the tone I'm getting. Fat, mellow, and resonant when I strum with fleshy tips. Eventually though, I'll need to change them out, and I'm wondering what string experiences folks have had with these ukuleles. I prefer things on the mellow as opposed to bright side.

Any advice? Thanks in advance...

If you're happy with the current sound, stick with the Hilos! ;)

For a mellow sound, I like Worth Browns.

I hear ya, I just thought some fellow dark tone lovers who own fleas might know some strings that bring that side of the uke out even more.

But yeah, as I said...pretty pleased with the stock strings...

I keep hearing about those worth browns, and I believe I'll try those first!

I have Kala Reds on a concert Fluke, and Worth Clears on my soprano Flea and I'm happy with both. ;)
