I've written songs for about 2 years now, and played ukulele for the same period of time. But ukulele hasn't really found its way into my songwriting - it is still mainly done on my guitar. Ukulele is just pure fun for me I play Jake stuff most of the time by the way.
But while I don't dream of becoming a professional ukulele player, i wouldn't mind becoming a professional artist in general, performing with my own songs.
Anyways! The real reason i posted was because i always like listening to the way people adapt the ukulele to fit into different genres of music. For example i find jazz-uke highly unlikely, but still someone play it, and i think that's absolutely fascinating.
So I would just like to show you guys here how i use the uke in my kind of music: folk-ish

you'll find ukulele at the end of song 1 and 2.
I hope some will find this just remotely relevant or interesting
Edit: Thought someone might ask what kind of uke i'm playing, so i'll go ahead a post it before someone asks: a Pete Howlett tenor, spruce top, cherry sides. Amazing instrument, i love it very much!
