Lightsnake USB cable - opinions?

anyone used this? do you like it? i have a passive under-saddle piezo pickup. what do you think? would i need any extra equipment?

but would I need a preamp since I only have a passive? or does the software with the cord amp it after the fact? i believe it comes with a trial of Sony acid".

There's a level booster housed in the wire itself. It's not really a preamp, but the level output should be fine.
