For anyone in the market or on the fence about purchasing a tululele from Joel Eckhaus, GO FOR IT! I just got mine today and it is absolutely beautiful. He crafted me a mahogany, tenor uke with a white pickguard (pic link below). It looks gorgeous, plays amazing, and sounds tremendous plugged in AND acoustic. He was a sheer pleasure to deal with and this uke was worth every penny.

Now THAT'S what I call a nice uke! I've seen the Mahalo Tele, and I've seen the K-Wave Tele, but I had never seen the Tululele....

I've had a K-Wave Tele on my wish list for quite some time, but I think it just got bumped off. That thing is beautiful!

PLEASE post videos....PLEASE!!!! :iwant:

Forget the K-Wave. That's what I was originally looking at until I played a tululele. The difference is night and day. The tulu is definetely more money but absolutely worth the price. The K-Wave sounds really thin in comparison and just feels kind of flimsy. Just my humble opinion...but try 'em both before commiting...

I'm sure Joel could make that happen for you. I think he normally makes the tululele bodies out of ash and he actually asked me if I wanted a tortoise pickguard on my uke when he was putting it together. Send him an email inquiry.
