I wanted to affix a hygrometer inside my Oscar Schmidt case.

Specifically, I wanted to use velcro so that I can remove the device at will. But I’m not sure that the velcro will stick to the felt lining of the case. Would it be kosher to cut out the lining just enough to place the velcro? Is that wood on the other side of the lining? I’d hate to even “test” this out on a small portion of the interior of the case so I was wondering if anyone has already tried.

Any glue that works on fabrics will hold a Velcro dot or two in place nicely.

What you don't want is a lot of area, or there will be a lot more pulling on the felt anytime you pull the hygrometer out.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't think of fabric friendly glue. Also I was actually planning on using as much velcro as there was surface area on the hygrometer.
