So the ambient humidity at my place is pushing 75%+!!

I'm putting dessicant in my cases but at best it's pulling the humidity down inside them to 65-70. Is this a source of concern? Is there other methods to bring the humidity down inside the case?

Ronin,

Keeping humidity at 55.

Move inland.

Add more dessicant.

Put you ukes in a self-contained humidity unit.

At 65-70 the wood will not crack or warp unless there are drastic changes in humidity.

You're killing yourself dude!

65-70... You should be fine, mate. Humidity here regularly gets up around that 75% level. I drop a sachet of silicagel each in my uke and mandolin and leave it at that.

I own solid wood ukes, mandolins and fiddles and have never had a problem. It's very low humidity, or sudden changes, that worry me.
