that making purple is hard?

Apparently, this girl in my art class couldn't make purple. (using acrylic paint)
She used red, blue, and green.

I just laughed throughout all of class.
Just thought I'd share :D

Why do you have green paint available but not purple? Since they are both secondary colors.

It is not hard to make though. Why in the world would someone think to add green?

we were going in order around the color wheel. from warm colors to cool colors red -> red-orange -> orange that sort of thing.
The girl wanted to jump ahead of the teacher and make purple, and so she mixed red and green was was like, ohwait, blue is in purple too.
I was like, too? rofl

and to answer the other question
yes. It's just red and blue.
it goes;
red blue yellow [primary]
purple [violet], green, orange [secondary]
red-orange, yellow-orange, yellow-green, blue-green, blue-violet, red-violet [tertiary, mixing a primary color and a secondary color]
and to think, this all happened in interior design class, haha
