I came across an artist while looking at Monkey Island stuff just now (since she has some MI themed stuff). Her art is just super cool imho. Anyway, one of the photos in her gallery is an ukulele she painted! Here's a link-- I just think it's so cool and wanted to share the find :D

That's AWESOME! I had those critters climbing in the trees all over my yard in Maui.

I know it Deach! I can't help but want all of her stuff.

I mean, as a monkey island fan, who can resist a folder with a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle?

Or chuck taylors with scenes from the first game?!?

Oh, and here's another set of pictures of the ukulele I didn't catch the first time around:

Cool! Now I want one with an Eastern spotted salamander (http://vermontgardens.blogspot.com/2007/04/eastern-spotted-salamanders.html) or maybe a red eft salamander (http://www.flickr.com/photos/lifeoncanvas/2273483797/)

I wonder how durable the artwork is? Will it stand up to actual use of the uke? Or are these intended for wall hangers?

Wow, that's really neat. Interesting to see the second "in progress" picture on how she painted the skin texture.

I don't know, but I'm assuming it's meant for actual use. Here's the video from which I found this girl; the guitar the guy is playing was painted by her.
