The action on my new MP tenor uke is amazingly low and even, and is without buzzes of any kind. Combined with the 1.5 inch nut width and the Worth BTs, this setup, IMO, gives this instrument superior playability. The extra space between the strings really does make chord fingerings easier, while the low action makes moving up and down the fingerboard a breeze. I requested Mike make my MP with these specs, and he did an outstanding job, if I do say so myself! :D

You can sort of see what I mean in the picture below.

BTW, can y'all tell I'm, like, totally love with my new uke, or what!

In any case, reflecting on the subject made me wonder: What kind of action and setup do you prefer on your ukes and why?

I prefer low action, it depends of your uke / strings.
Low action makes your playing more comfortable, but higher action gives you more sound projection and sustain.
I am used to raise the action on ukes, exept for the great brands (Kamaka, Koaloha ...), cause they don't need it ...
