Hey all

First post here. I dont play Uke sorry ( i do like them alot though and Elephant Town is my favourite uke song). I have however been tasked with buying a Uke for a friends girlfriend as a christmas present.

Would probably need to buy mail order since there arent many uke shops round here ( I am UK based btw ).

My Friends girlfriend currently has a lanakai Uke which she loves LU21 - she is also quite interested in Flea (?) ukes also however she hasnt played one or heard its tone in real life.

Suggestions please?

Thanks in advance

Get her THIS ONE (http://cgi.ebay.com/BUBBLEGUM-FLEA-SOPRANO-Ukulele-w-Rosewood-fretboard_W0QQitemZ250517863829QQcmdZViewItemQQptZ LH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3a54073d95) from MGM. Or if you need to buy in the UK, contact Paul Templeman at Rothesay Music (http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/rothesay-music__W0QQ_armrsZ1Rothesay Music) and see if he can help.

Good luck.

I agree. Fleas sound great, are easy to play, and are quality instruments. He may want to find out her favorite color first though.

Kala KA FMS - soprano

Kala KA KS - soprano

I thought the box looked a little big, or should I say square, for a uke box. Nothing like extending the anticipation.

Let me guess... You bought a soprano, stuffed it into a concert, stuffed that into a tenor, stuffed that into a baritone, stuffed that into a tenor guitar, and stuffed that into a guitar... What a cool gift! Good thinking!
