ok, so today the humidity was at 86%.... inside my house it dosnt seem so high i guess, feels alot cooler but outside yeh... so how does this/can this affect my uke, should i keep it in the case till i can buy a dehumidifier... i dont know. dont wanna damage my baby.....

High humidity is not as big a concern for wood instruments. Low humidity is more of a problem. With any wood instrument it is extreme swings in humidity you want to mitigate.

Here is a link with some intersting infomation about humidity and guitars, etc.

Is 80% normal for where you live?

Don't worry. Play music. Be happy.

If you start seeing green stuff growing on your other belongings you may want to think about throwing in a couple packs of dessicant into the uke case. ;)

it's about 87% humidity here in Oak Harbor, but then again it is 50.7 degrees out aha

Remember, humidity is relative to temurature, if it's 50deg and 80% humidity outside, the humidity inside at 70deg is around 40%.
