Have two recent things to let everyone know about:

(1) The guy I bought my uke from (Mr. Kaota Puna) in New Zealand has put up some instructional YouTube videos. You can check them out at:

http://www.youtube.com/user/kanua8

You can see his website at:

http://www.kanua.com/

(2) A friend of mine has starting building a selling Tahitian ukes. They are somewhat difficult to find especially locally in the US. You can see one he has up on E-bay now.

He does basic and custom ukes. If you would like to contact him (Glenn) his E-mail is:

TAHITIANUKES@AOL.COM

So he's in New Zealand, but on ebay he only ships to the US? Why?

I don't understand either. My dad send stuff over to New Zealand all the time and its not expensive.. :s

And my famz over there send a lot of greenstones back over etc, etc.

Plainsong and UkuLeLesReggAe:

They are two separate people. The guy I bought my uke from is in New Zealand, and I bought the uke by contacting him from his website; not E-bay. I have a friend who lives in the US who has started building and selling tahitian ukes. The E-bay link is for a uke he is selling.

My friend in the US does say on the E-bay site for all international orders to contact him for Shipping and Handling fees. So I think he will ship internationally.

alright i understand now - makes sense

Ahh, right. Just so your ebay friend knows though, if you keep your sales pages as US shipping only, people tend to automatically close them and go on to the next ebayer. It's possible to sell your stuff and have worldwide listed as your shipping option. I say that because he might be loosing sales he doesn't even know about.

That New Zealand uke though, that is a sexy beast. Deach, that tattoo would scare the hell out of me in the morning. :D But I do want more ink... :(

Can you imagine that mask as the body of a uke? That would be bad-ass! You could leave it in your window, sort-of like a gargoyle.
