I'm thinking about buying this uke from MGM and was wondering if anyone has had any time with it. I'm also considering the Kala All Solid Mahogany, because it's cheaper, but not by much. So if anyone out there has this uke, let me know!

Thanks:)

I havent tried it but either the lacewood or acacia tenor is going to be my next Uke! + That MGM dude will be sure it has a good setup!

I have this uke. It sounds very much like the YouTube clips MGM as posted. I thought the action was a bit high when I got it, but I lowered the nut a little and now it is very playable. Sounds good with Worth brown strings.

I know this isn't about the Kala Acacia but someone put this on there too and I will vouch for the Kala Acacia. Stunning in both sound and looks. Kala stuff seems to be very good...well worth the money!

I think I might actually save up some extra money for a Mainland instead, the mango tenor. Tough decisionss

I have the Kala lacewood Tenor

I have the Kala Lacewood Cutaway Tenor with the spruce top and pickup. It is a very pretty instrument. It sounds fine. I wouldn't say it is totally awesome but it sounds like a uke with a spruce top which is very good.

I actually bought it here on UU, check out this link, it has a video of him playing it in there:
