Man, prices have really changed over the years. I remember when I first started playing in '94. I had my first Kamaka Soprano, bought it for $375 from a friend. Then my mom bought me a Sonny D Tenor for $450 brand new from the Sonny D store... Its been a couple years, but man things have changed, especially the prices. Now Kamaka lists its Soprano at $650... I'm looking to buy a new uke as all I have right now is a Martin T-1 (Mahogany) and dont really like to take it out a lot. Guess I'll start saving for my next Kamaka (Alto or Tenor can't decide)... or if anybody has any suggestions...

Brah, everything goin up. Check the 808 Luthiers List (http://ukuleleunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16211). You can get some relatively inexpensive instruments (compared to the K's). Just a matter of doing a little research. BTW, Sonny D is still making ukes, check 'um out ova hea (http://ukuleleunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21005).
