Hey! I am in Charlotte and my first uke is coming in any day now. I play guitar, but not very well because my fingers are short. So, I am looking forward to playing the Ukulele! I know this is something I can get VERY into VERY quickly! I am obcessed already and have not even gotten it in yet.

To top it off, I have a Hawaiian themed Shave Ice/Ice Cream shop! So, if you want to get together for a jam session here, we can do that! We have couches and ice cream! It is the winter, and it is slow, so hopefully I will have a lot of time to practice my Uke during down times!

If you want to see where/what we are:

www.alohasnow.com
www.alohasnow.com/location

If anyone is interested we can make it a regular thing!

Not yet. I just posted that yesterday. I should find out soon when it will happen. I am getting a new job in the agency i work for and I am supposed to be working on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Asheville. Should be June or July though.

Duh! I'm sorry I looked at the 'Join date'. Hope it works out for you. It IS a nice place to live. I don't live there now but have recently and was born there. Also, my aunt lives there and she has just taken up the uke. I'm sure she'd love to have someone to play with OR learn from.

So I am moving close to Asheville. Waynesville is where my home will be for at least a few months. I am moving down in a couple of weeks. Let me know if anything uke related is happening around Asheville.

I think I will be pretty close to the Uke gathering, so I may need to make an appearance.
